Larry was born in Texas, and moved to Canada with his family in his early youth, as his fathermoved north, with the discovery of new oil fields in Alberta. Larry took out Canadiancitizenship and today holds dual citizenship with both an American and a Canadian passport .He graduated from the University of Calgary (BA -Economics), after which he moved to theUSA and obtained a Master's Degree from Brigham Young University (MBA).In his early twenties, Larry served a two and a half year mission for the Mormon Church,living in French speaking Switzerland and Eastern France.Upon graduation from the Masters program at BYU, Larry joined the firm of Merrill Lynch.He spent time helping set up Regional Commodity Futures Centers for Merrill Lynch inPortland and Dallas. He spent time in Chicago and did all the licensing and formal training forEquities and Futures Markets in New York City, where he lived for several months. He spentseveral years in the Futures Trading Center in Los Angeles, then moved to do similar work withBache & Co in Beverly Hills.Weyerhaeuser Company, the second largest lumber company in the US, decided to start usingthe new Lumber & Plywood Futures Markets, and Larry was hired to head up this department,reporting directly to the treasurer of the company. He held this position for several years. Ofinterest, he also did some international foreign currency arbitrage for Weyerhaeuser.During these years Larry was a frequent speaker at seminars (including one at WhartonSchool of Economics) on the subject of financial markets and how corporations could useCommodity Futures. With the advent of futures in Crude Oil, Larry was the broker for severallarge oil companies.Life transitioned with a move to Phoenix and a migration to the Real Estate industry. Larryowns RevCorp Inc, an Arizona real estate company. RevCorp focuses most of its attention oncommercial properties - specifically, office buildings, where he has been both a manager andowner.
