My responsibilities at Chase in this position include oversight of the ISO9001 quality system and metallurgical laboratory operations. I'm actively involved in new alloy development, performance characterization of brass rod alloys such as corrosion and tribology, customer technical service in areas of wrought rod, forging and static & continuous casting problem analysis and properties. Finally, I'm the company representative for a number of professional societies such as ASTM, AFS and NSF. Chase produces leaded and lead free brass rod products to support various industries including building and construction, automotive/transportation, electrical and electronic, medical, and industrial valves and fittings.Chase Brass traces its origin back to 1837, and today is recognized as one of the most efficient brass rod mills in North America. Specific emphasis is placed on the quality of product and prompt reliable service to all customers. Signature leaded machinable alloy C360 is marketed as the Blue Dot® Rod brand, and the lead-free machinable alloy C693 ECO BRASS® is under the Green Dot® Rod brand. Chase provides a variety of standard, low lead, and lead free options to meet customer manufacturing requirements.
