Conduct development drilling operations in the Kome Oilfield Development Project, which consist of three primary and three satellite fields in Chad, Africa. Serve as Mentor for graduate level ExxonMobil Drilling Engineers who are rotated through the Chad Drill Team as part of their entry level training. Provide technical and operational advice and oversight in their technical and professional development.• Participate in the operational planning and drilling operations on over 280 development and near field exploration wells. • Approve and technically endorse Drilling Programs, AFEs, Directional Plans, Well Surveillance, etc.• Monitor and provide technical advice and solutions to onsite drilling operations teams. Bangkok, Thailand

Contributed to improved drilling performance in the Unocal Thailand Subsurface Operations Department. Project Manager for drill bit optimization, directional planning and operations. Improved practices and processes implemented by the team are credited with a significant increase in drilling efficiency during a record setting 253 well drilling program in 2002. (This work is documented in IADC/SPE Paper 87173 “Ultrafast Drilling in the Gulf of Thailand”).• Performed well design, engineering, and operations support services.• Ensured efficient planning and management of equipment and resources for timely delivery to the rigs. • Technical champion of drill bit optimization software that was adopted corporately by Unocal for implementation worldwide. This software allowed bit performance versus geological characteristics and drilling parameters to be graphically correlated and statistically studied.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Responsible for the formation and strategic development of this subsidiary of Malaysia Mining Corporation, under sponsorship of the CEO and Board of Directors. Acquired and operated five PSC’s in Indonesia. • Assembled and managed a staff of 120 nationals and expats in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.• Acquired two high potential exploration blocks, one in the Philippines Sandakan Basin (Sulu Sea) and one in the Gulf of Thailand. Follow up exploration in the Thai block led to discovery of commercial quantities of oil - presently operated by Salamander Energy as the Bualuang Oil Project. The block in the Sulu Sea was located in deepwater (6,000’). Three deepwater exploration wells were drilled on this prospect. • Conducted due diligence on numerous acquisition candidates in SE Asia and the Middle East. Experienced user of cash flow, NPV and other evaluation software.• Served on the Board of Directors of several MMC subsidiaries based in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Africa.

Houston, Texas Area

Directed all domestic and international drilling, development and production operations through a core staff of 45 engineers and field personnel. Seated on the Board of Directors of several service companies in which Fremont owned a major interest, among them WellTech, Dual Drilling and BecField Drilling Services. Conducted exploration and production operations in the Gulf of Mexico, Louisiana, Texas, Russia and Indonesia.• Design, installation and operation of several large waterflood projects in West Texas. Scope included drilling 240 injection and production wells in addition to construction of surface injection and production facilities.• Exploration drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and the in-land waters of Louisiana, in addition to onshore wells in South and East Texas. Development and production operations on two blocks in the GOM and one in Louisiana including development drilling and design/installation of platforms and barge mounted production facilities.• Managed Fremont’s non-operated working interest with other operators such as Texaco, Enron, BP, Exxon, Unocal, etc. Most were located in the GOM.• Conducted delineation drilling operations in the Urengoi Field in NW Siberia. This was the first successful integration of a Russian rig (Uralmash 5000) with Western drilling equipment and technology. • Elected and served as Vice President of the NorthGas Ltd. Joint Venture, formed to develop gas condensate resources and related infrastructure in the Western Siberian Artic. Oversaw all engineering, development planning and operations related to this project.• Managed the conception and development of BecField Drilling Services Company. Co-holder of several patents related to directional drilling and steering tools that were proprietary to BecField.
