I have over 15 years experience as an IP monetization professional and advisor. I have significant experience in deal origination and structuring of patent portfolio acquisitions in addition to my tenure at Merrill Lynch where I specialized in municipal finance and debt capital markets, and at GE Capital where I worked in structured finance.I have advised clients on establishing royalty rates for worldwide licenses to standard-essential patent (SEP) portfolios, notably telecom portfolios; advised companies and investors in acquisitions of IP portfolios; and have negotiated the business terms of patent licenses and settlements of patent litigation. I have developed financing structures designed to maximize the value of patent portfolios of companies in several industries including telecommunications, technology, media, semiconductors, automotive, and consumer electronics. Intellectual Asset Management magazine has acknowledged me as one of the world’s top 300 leading IP strategists, and I have held several securities licenses including, Series 7, 24, 53, and 63.
