With ample resources in terms of available land, bright minds, and a growing base of highly skilled graduates, the goal of CSUMB is to lead by example in raising the tide of opportunities for all people in the Monterey Bay region and beyond.

Using proprietary technology and large scale data analytics, PredPol partners with public sector entities (primarily within law enforcement) to effect partnerships that effectively reduce the incidence of crime. PredPol's partners include LAPD, Seattle PD, Atlanta PD and other agencies in both the US and overseas. My job was to help the company grow through effective hiring, growth management and a diligent approach to improving the core technology.

Directed all operations for this early Web 2.0 technology company focused upon online community formation and social networking. Raised $40 million in staged venture and private placement rounds. Company’s technologies included synchronous and asynchronous messaging/conferencing incorporating text, audio, video and 2D graphics. Application domains ranged from corporate support to consumer based messaging. Corporate customers included Disney, Intel, CBS, Turner Communications, and The Comedy Channel. Technology developments included scalable n-way peer to peer messaging and conferencing platform and the E programming language (secure extensible language for JAVA platform development).

Chief Operating Officer/EVP – Built and directed all operations, sales, marketing, development, manufacturing, and support activities for this U.S. based corporation. Grew company from 15 person startup with $250K annual revenues to 1000+ employee $350M annual revenues public corporation. Co-led Creative’s IPO, raising $66+M in the largest tech-based transaction of 1992 . Founding member Multimedia PC Marketing Council, responsible for various product strategy and product/market development innovations which are now industry standard practices. Frequent speaker at CES, COMDEX, NAMM conferences, as well as smaller industry specific conferences such as PC Forum and Agenda.

Directed worldwide sales and marketing efforts for this Bell Laboratories spin out firm, specializing in high end video/graphics hardware and software products. Directed all sales & business development, corporate marketing strategy and product/market development. Managed development relationships with companies such as AVID, Apple, and Silicon Graphics.

Directed global sales and marketing for this diversified developer and manufacturer of video/graphics products and removable storage systems. Built and managed domestic and international sales organizations, product strategy, and marketing plans. Authored financing prospectus for 1989 IPO.

Responsible for global market strategy/development within strategic sectors such as education, multimedia, computer graphics and music for this worldwide leader in computing and gaming platforms. Increased global market share 200+%, supplanting Apple as primary low cost platform within music and graphics industry. Led world-wide educational and multimedia market/channel development efforts including management of Computer Curriculum Corp. relationship, which established the ST platform as a standard in US education. Managed international software developer program for 32bit Atari ST computing platform in the domains of education, music, and multimedia
