Responsible for the safety training, electrical industry training, providing safety resources, managing Safety Reps, and managing multiple safety site data platforms and spreadsheets. Responsible for managing new employee orientations, our Apprenticeship Program through the US Department of Labor, and FR Clothing distribution. Perform crew site visits along with Safety meetings and managing our rubber glove and sleeve program. Ensuring all testing on gloves, sleeves, blankets and hotsticks are completed and in compliance with OSHA standards.

Develop and manage our safety program, train employees on safety relating to our industry, develop and administer the Apprenticeship Program which offers great learning and advancement opportunities for our workforce. Help organize, manage and complete projects within scheduled times and budget.

To ensure both Safety rules and Contruction Standards are followed by any contractor working on AEP Transmission lines and Substations. I am a liaison between both the contractor hired for the projects and AEP. I write progress reports utilizing both Microsoft Word and Excel. I also work directly with AEP to help coordinate and direct specific task to be performed. I assist with material delivery and any material issues that may arise.

Develop and manage Safety program. Develop and write safety operating practices and procedures. Revamp the Apprenticeship program, educate and train Apprentices, Journeyman and Safety Professionals within the company. Develop various forms and spreadsheets for record keeping. Provide safety resources to maximize the safety of all employees. Perform JHA'a and Work Observations to recognize hazards and work to mitigate the hazards. Perform Incident Investigation to determine the root cause. Facilitate safety meetings and share experience in the field of electricity.

The sale of Advertising Specialties with Company Logo's. The sale of Caps, Jackets, T-Shirts and various other Garments with requested Screen Print or Embroidered Logos or artwork requested by our customers.

The management of our entire Distribution System. Voltage monitoring, adjusting and regulating, Writing switching for our Switch-men and Substation Personnel to follow to de-energize then re-energize energize feeder circuits for maintenance, new equipment or poles and Substation equipment. All done through an automated SCADA system from OKC.

I was technically a mobile Safety Professional. I covered various Districts within our coverage area. I provided safety resources, guidance and equipment for all members in my working area. My coverage area basically was parts of the Metro area and Southeastern part of the state. I was also utilized during Mutual Assistance in neighboring states during major storm damaged outages. I was also called upon many times to develop and lead safety meetings. Procedure and Safety Operating Practice development. I was also called upon to do Electrical Safety Presentations for the entire Company, State Schools, Fire Departments and Police Departments.

Maintain, build, modify and removal of our electrical distribution system in the Ada District area. Promoting electrical safety while running a Line Crew. Lead safety meetings & conduct training for the Ada District members. Running the District when the District Supervisor was not available. Running various pieces of equipment such as Backhoes, Line and Bucket Trucks and maintaining the equipment housed at our Ada facility.

Maintain, build, modify and removal of our electrical distribution system in the Seminole District area. Running various pieces of equipment such as Backhoes, Line and Bucket Trucks and maintaining the equipment housed at our Seminole District Headquarters. Worked both in-state storm damage repair along with mutual assistance out of state.

Build, maintain, modify and removal of Substations in our System. Working with steel, concrete, wiring utilizing prints and schematics, building and modifying our control houses, running and maintaining various pieces of equipment. Working in all elements of weather. Fence building steel erecting.

Clearing trees and brush for Transmission Construction equipment to build line. Road and Fence building. Chainsaw and various other pieces of equipment operation.
