Provided applications support to customers for micro-controllers and CODECs. Designed evaluation boards for ARM7 micro-controllers. Supported marketing and sales to promote products. Learned and implemented IEEE802.15.4 protocol. Provided tool support for customers and field support personnel. Presented training seminars for customers, FAEs, distributors, and reps.

Managed customer support for 8-bit and 16-bit micro-controllers. Developed tools for embedded programming (C and Assembly), as well as tools for programming internal memory (OTP and FLASH). Designed evaluation boards. Wrote data sheets and application notes. Led applications group of 6 personnel.

Led project engineering for heating and air-conditioning system (HVAC). Managed 2 personnel (hardware technician and embedded programmer). Provided board level design and embedding programming (8-bit micro-controller).Major Projects1) Developed and built prototype system that became main user interface, writing low level driver for display to do both text and graphics. System included several circuit boards designed using Mitsubishi’s custom 8-bit micro-controller.2) Built 40 pre-production systems to be installed across U.S. and tested for 2 years.3) Designed custom data collection system that monitored state of HVAC system once per minute, storing data on floppy drives that could later be analyzed. System included 5 motorized dampers, variable speed blower motor, 10KW electric heater, inverter driven compressor motor, expansion valve for outdoor coil, several temperature sensors, and one pressure sensor.
