As the son of a career military Father I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and the world. This peripatetic experience has become ingrained as I continue to travel whenever possible. I have had two related careers. First as a Captain/Paramedic in the City of Phoenix, Az. Fire Department and a second career as an educator in higher education at Mesa Community College. I created the largest Fire Science and Emergency Medical Technician training program in the State of Arizona. While serving as Director of this department I established a medical exchange program between the Leningrad Institute of Postgraduate Medical Studies in Leningrad, USSR. and Mesa Community College. The purpose was to create a cultural and educational exchange between countries so that we may further our understanding of one another. I then became the Dean of Instruction for career and technical programs at Mesa Community College. I then designed and developed the Virtual Incident Command Center and worked for two and a half years as Director of this facility. I am now retired and teaching Ethics for Public Administrators for Northern Arizona University.I also serve on the advisory council for the Arizona State University Center for Emergency Management and Homeland Security and I am a consultant to Flying Doctors Nigeria. These life experiences have led me to combine my bilingual skills,(Spanish, lived in Spain 3 years), and my medical skills,(Paramedic), and my teaching skills,(Dean of Instruction), to work with various medical teams as a medical translator and teacher in Spanish speaking countries.
