Led a team of technical and content specialists to build and deliver a global 'first-of-kind' national database for the Canadian beef industry to track individual animal and carcass key data points across the beef supply chain. The team developed a national voluntary beef cattle information sharing database web application. BIXS became the first national production to distribution system enabling direct communication between beef value chain participants related to detailed animal genetics, production, health, and meat characteristics. BIXS has now evolved into a for-profit company known as BIXSco.

Managed a team to coordinate the control of several invasive (formerly defined 'noxious') weed species affecting rangelands across the Kamloops Region of the BC Forest Service from Williams Lake area to the US/Canada border in British Columbia. Control efforts included herbicide and biological control methods along with prescribed burning of forested/grasslands rangelands followed by strategic grazing and herbicide treatment strategies. Primary species of concern included: Diffuse and Spotted Knapweed, Houndstounge, Dalmation Toadflax and Ox-eye Daisy (add to the list Burdock and a bunch of other troublemakers).
