Public Works Inspector

Performing technical work in relation to civil engineering, surveying and construction inspection. Monitors and completes projects, including but not limited to streets, sidewalks, traffic signals, water mains sewer mains, and storm sewers. Promote acceptable storm water discharge practices through inspections of active construction sites, issues reported by the public, and City storm water infrastructure, including inlets, pipes and outfalls.

Quality control functions with RMC products when needed. Should possess appropriate certifications and have extensive interaction with customers with minimal supervision. Performs mix designs, supports field efforts, does submittals, and reviews stats. Tracks and maintains data. Performs statistical calculations to maximize the product quality and performance.

Responsible for accurate batching of concrete and loading of trucks. Ordering of materials and scheduling of personnel. Manage incoming phone calls, complaints and communications with drivers. ACCOMPLISHMENTS WITH CASTLE & COOKE COMPANYPlayed an instrumental role in plant development and construction of a new sand plant and ready mix plant with automated dispatching and batching systems.Development and implementation of Quality Control of mix designs and aggregate quality.Provided leadership and improved communications by acting as a cross-trained “bridge” between mining and ready mix.Supervised mining crews and manage the maintenance of machinery and equipment.
