I guided students with disabilities on how to write research essays on literature. Specifically, I taught research methods, engaged in critical thinking exercises, and edited writing to improve clarity. In addition, I assisted in the daily operational tasks for Learning Services.

I created academic goals, encouraged time management, and designed study skills for students. I have tutored over 200 hours in individual, small, and large group sessions in the following subjects: English, Spanish, Business Law, Philosophy, Freshman Seminar, and Writing essays / research papers. As a Supervising Tutor, I coordinated, with the Assistant Director of Learning Services, tutor-training sessions. I lectured on topics such as difficult tutoring scenarios, effective reading strategies, tutoring do’s and don’ts, and emotional intelligence.
