AECOM-Hunt Clayco BOWA Joint Venture on O’Hare 21 Modernization Project: This newly formed Construction Manager at Risk required close and intensive collaboration to develop Operational SOP’s and Safety Manual / protocols at the onset of the COVID epidemic. Actively managed construction the 4R-22L Runway Renovation ($29m) and Elevated Parking Structure Renovation ($32m). Had direct line authority over the Project Manager, Superintendent, Quality Manager, Safety Manager, Project Scheduler, and Project Accountant. Contributed to and reviewed GMP, developed scope sheets and participated in bid reviews and subcontractor awards. Interfaced with FAA, CDA, CCA (Owner’s Representative), Homeland Security and Airline representatives. Produced JV profit projections, responsible for cost controls, and directly managed the monthly pay application process for all Clayco projects at the airport. Project Dolphin: Assumed direct management 5 weeks after initial mobilization of a Developer driven, fast-track Core & Shell. LEED Platinum Warehouse project for major tech company; 350,000sq, ~$34m, 10-month schedule for phase 1 turnover for specialized automation equipment installation. Single story, slab on grade, load bearing pre-cast exterior, steel columns and joists, structurally pitched TPO roof system, roof mounted mechanical equipment.Cook County Outpatient Services Clinical Building: Assigned to the construction team 4 weeks prior to Final Occupancy Inspections. Lead the effort to final scope, award and field supervise the installation of a 74-point access control system and managed scheduling and completion of over 680 punch list items.

Carle Foundation Hospital-Carle at the Fields Champaign: Five contracts to develop 140 acre unincorporated farmland and deliver a 280,000 SF Business Occupancy Administrative Building. Site improvements included IDOT lane improvements and new arterial main roads with storm, sanitary water/fire hydrant, electric, communications, gas and street lighting. My start in construction for a small family-owned business. I worked in various capacities from Field Laborer up through Foreman, eventually being promoted to Office Manager. Responsible for final bid reviews, bonding, Accounts Receivable (pay applications and collections), Project Submittals and contract compliance. Under my tenure the company advanced from a $3m residential contractor to a $7m Bonded, Certified Minority Business Enterprise that performed construction contracts for various entities including the Veterans Administration, Chicago Park District, METRA, The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, and many other Public Agencies.
