In1974 Mr. Willis was admitted to the California State Bar, the United States District Court, and the United States Supreme Court. He has served as Judge Pro Tempore of the Orange County Superior Courts. Prior to forming the firm of Willis | DePasquale, LLP, Mr. Willis was a founder and shareholder of Callahan, McCune, & Willis APLC. He has in excess of thirty years experience as a litigator, including in the areas of Professional Liability, Products Liability, General Liability, Governmental Tort Liability, and Personal Injury. He was the 2009 President of Orange County Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, as well as past National Board Representative to the American Board of Trial Advocates and Orange County Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates Executive Committee. Mr. Willis holds the rank of "Advocate" with the American Board of Trial Advocates having fulfilled the requirement of trying 50 or more jury trials to verdict in order to achieve such rank.He is also a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (invitation only and involving less than 1/2 of 1% of American lawyers). Mr. Willis is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, Southern California Defense Counsel and Defense Research Institute. He is a Member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, a member of the Board of Directors CAL-ABOTA organization since 2008, and a member of OC Legal Education Foundation administering scholarships at Chapman University School of Law and Western State University College of Law. Mr. Willis has authored numerous articles on Personal Injury Law and Insurance Law and is a frequent lecturer of continuing education of the Bar classes, various colleges and other institutions of higher learning, California Trial Lawyers Association seminars, National Business Institute seminars and Rutter Group seminars on Personal Injury Law and Insurance Law.
