• U.S. subsidiary of Canadian multinational metals producer, operator of the Northwest Arctic Native Association owned Red Dog Mine, world’s largest zinc mine (10% of world supply), with over $800 million annual revenue.
• Hired on 2 ½ year contract to direct HR department and develop all Native Alaskan HR staff to assume leadership role.
• Reduced absences by 19% and saved $800,000 in 1st year with "Pay / Time Off” plan that shaped attendance behavior.
• Developed and managed $6M HR and camp management contract (food service, facilities mgmt & housekeeping) budget.
• Enhanced benefit programs: diversified plans while containing costs; able to freeze employee premiums for 2 years.
