Led the development and implementation of a system level aggregated traffic diagnostic used in the Mfg Test process and in the APS (automatic protection switching) mechanics employed by the K2 Metro Edge optical switching product. This product aggregates ATM, DS1, DS3, E1, Ethernet traffic onto standard optical SONET/SDH topologies, from OC3 to OC192 (WDWM optional).

Managed a wireless COE (center of expertise) core team (7 engineers) developing several web server applications exploiting mainly WiFi mobile technology powered by Java application servers.• Principal engineering member of an OOA/D abstract framework team dedicated to reuse, extensibility and portability of business and design use cases and implementation technology for any marchFIRST customer engagement. The goal was to create a factory approach to a client’s site customization and branding.• Pioneered usage of the abstract framework technology towards developing a handful of mobile store front and back office retail applications. Architected, developed and implemented the automatic field replaceable unit (FRU) diagnostic software for Acuson’s Aspen ultrasound medical diagnostic machine. Ran on NT and Sun platforms using expert system backward/forward semantic chaining. Team size = 3 people.• Analysis and development of an OO based expert system diagnostic.• Implementation of Auto-FRU in support call centers, manufacturing and engineering test.• First in company to create and run a C++ based OO embedded runtime monitor used for running distributed system diagnostics. The monitor initiated and collected diag information from all processor based subsystems and uplinked to the FRU application.• Presented several OOA&D seminars to various Acuson engineering groups

Project management and leadership (10 people) of a multithreaded, multiprocessor on-line and off-line diagnostic for Unisys’ line of SMP Pentium machines. Project leadership (3 people) of previous multifunction diagnostic for first generation Intel MP machines. Major contributor to Unix based system testing tool.• Led analysis, design and deployment of Chorus micro kernel based multiprocessor multithreaded diagnostic. Documented and wrote papers on its design and deployment.• First in the world to produce multitasking diagnostic able to emulate normal operating system activity on a large multiprocessor platform ( > dozen processors).• Implemented DDI/DKI SVR4 interface to test and run drivers in a non-Unix environment.• Created C language test tool for the hardware group's subsystem simulators, which they used to extend and build more bringup test code before receiving real hardware.• Interim manager for diagnostic group (4 people) during group consolidation transition
