World Life Research Institute was founded in 1958 by my father, Bruce W. Halstead, M.D. It was established to explore natural pharmaceutical products from the oceans and the jungles in use for pioneering new medical health modalities in the context of: Alternative Medicine, Natural Medicine, Holistic Health, Traditional Chinese Medicine, etc. See movie: 'The Medicine Man' the outline of which was based on Dr. Halstead's work.

Golden Quill Publishers was initially founded to preserve and publish the work of Bruce W. Halstead, M.D., in the field of Alternative Medicine.Golden Quill has also served as a publishing consulting business for self publishers and authors. It was the parent company of Accent Print and Design, a graphics oriented printing business. Golden Quill still has an inventory of books and their are plans for new publications and new editions of existing publications. I have a growing list of books that I have been committing myself to write. At the moment I would have to get funding that would free up the time to take on any of them. The Bruce W. Loma Linda Health Products, Inc. was founded to develop new natural products for the alternative health field. One such product was Behzaldehyde, one of the two active ingredients of Laetrile. We also acted as a distributor for other health products like gravity traction units. Eventually I developed an idea for mass distribution of natural products to clinics across the country. That idea turned into a multi million dollar business that continues to flourish under the name Terrace International.
