At Perkins & Marie Callender's, Larry is responsible for the strategic direction of all sourcing activities for both restaurant concepts. Additionally, Larry is responsible for the operations of three manufacturing faculties producing world class pies, cookies, cakes, and muffinsPreviously at O'Charley's Inc., Larry transformed the supply chain activities in the organization. In his first year, Larry had outsourced all the previous “in house” manufacturing operations involving the cutting of red meat, production of salad dressings, and the manufacturing of yeast rolls. Also the self distribution operation was outsourcing during this time. Larry was the former Vice President of Enterprise Strategic Sourcing. Larry and his team transformed Carlson Companies sourcing practices into a “best in class” team leveraging process, technology, and people. The centralized reporting structure will drive over $50 million in sourcing value creation in 4 years, while building better relationships with Carlson suppliers. Before beginning with Carlson Companies, Larry was an Owner/ Operator of a McDonald's restaurant in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The “hands on” operations experience significantly compliments his strategic corporate experience. In eight months, Larry was able to drive year over year sales 8.6% and transactions 15.9%, while the region performance languished at (4.6%) and (5.5%) respectively. Larry’s extensive foodservice background also includes ten and a half years as the Vice President, Supply Chain Management for Taco Bell based in Irvine, California, and a position as Director of Procurement, Burger King, Miami Florida.
