Larry Christensen concentrates on export controls, sanctions, and embargoes under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and various regulations issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). He focuses on pre-acquisition due diligence, Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) reviews of foreign direct investment, and the defense of enforcement cases, as well as compliance processes, assessments, and audits. He also heads the Miller and Chevalier national security and foreign policy practice group. He has supervised more than 90,000 classifications. Mr. Christensen has represented firms in the most challenging of classifications under the EAR and ITAR and commodity jurisdiction self-determinations and commodity jurisdiction requests under the ITAR and maintains close ties to technical personnel in the Executive Branch. Mr. Christensen has conducted more than 100 assessments to establish efficient processes and procedures that are effective given the industry and marketing strategy of a company.
