I am a recent graduate of Florida Atlantic University's Charles E. Schmidt College of Science with a degree in Biological Sciences. I was previously employed at I N C Media Group as an Associate Producer and Researcher for a national consumer television series and have a strong background in sales and marketing in a B2B and B2C capacity.As a passionate follower about the world of medicine and advancements in this field, I am seeking to apply to medical school with a goal of becoming a physician. In preparation of becoming a medical student, I am eager to jump in with both feet into the corporate world of healthcare to further my understanding while bringing with me sales experience, customer service and consumer marketing knowledge.My current position as a medical scribe at a hematology/oncology practice has allowed me to interact with patients, understand tests that evaluate multiple blood conditions and different chemotherapy medicines. I have also shadowed physicians in surgical settings which has allowed me to get a better understanding on processes, protocols and procedures on all healthcare professionals in attendance. While working at I N C Media Group, I was provided with the opportunity to gain exposure of the healthcare industry in a consumer marketing and advertising standpoint.
