As president of A.J. Foyt Enterprises, Inc., Foyt manages the day-to-day operations of AJ Foyt Racing, which fields a race team in the Verizon IndyCar Series. During his tenure, he oversaw the team’s expansion from a one-car team to a two-car team which competes in 17 race events annually, including the world famous Indianapolis 500. Foyt began his professional racing career as a race car driver. He has competed in three Indianapolis 500s (2004 – 2006) and spent four years competing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (2003-2004) and the Xfinity Series (2001-2002). Foyt was a brand ambassador for Harrah’s Casinos and a national spokesman for the ‘Meals on Wheels’ program for four years (2000-2003).
