About Cancer Commons: We’re a 501c3 with an urgent mission, entrepreneurial flair and a sustainable business model. That mission is to ensure that each patient is treated in accord with the best available knowledge, and continually to update that knowledge based on each patient’s outcome. Toward this end, we are assembling a coalition of cancer centers, advocacy groups, healthcare networks and biotechs to create a ‘patient-powered research network’ (see attached exec summary.) Patients access this platform through a Donate Your Data (DYD) app that gives them an intuitive and easy-to-use dashboard for tracking progress against their disease, keeping abreast of relevant developments, and acting on them. Our goal is to create a “one-stop shop” to help patients beat their cancer.
