SJICN was an online solutions news channel spotlighting island community members and organizations building a more resilient and thriving San Juans. We completed the SJICN project in January, 2022 and launched new Salish Sea Ecoregional program under the banner of Navigating Our Future (navigatingourfuture.org). Beginning with an educational podcast series, we focused on how to develop a more resilient and regenerative Salish Sea Ecoregion and communities.In late 2023, we joined Regenerate Cascadia (regeneratecascadia.org) focusing on that portion of the bioregion when we felt more people had shared interests and thus could create a shared purpose when it comes to creating more resilient and regenerative communities for the benefit of all life here.I am now in the early stages of working to develop a bioregional learning center with a multi-media component designed to better inform people living in our region with news, stories and opportunities for them to engage in this work.To brainstorm, collaborate, and converse on any of these perspectives, call me now at (360) 378-3123 or email me at larry@navigatingourfuture.org
