Primary responsibility is designing and managing IT change in the retail store. Beyond POS at the cash wrap, areas of responsibilities include Payment Systems (Credit, Debit, Check and PCI), Loyalty, Gift Card and other unique in-house solutions. Taking care of customers in the store is primarily important, but becoming well-versed with the internal customers of Operations, Finance, Merchandising and Warehousing is also a high priority responsibility.

Continuing as a programmer but splitting my time with the cross-department leads, developing solutions and enhancements. Also, taking on the role of primary contact with a variety of external partners, such as our banking relationship and our gift card host service.

Greater Memphis Area

Primary work as a POS developer with JDA's WinDSS product, used in the company's international venture into Mexico. Had extensive experience with the sales and maintenance polling interface to JDA's MMS product. Also was the RemoteWare administrator including daily polling to/from the stores and delivering software updates. As WinDSS was phased out, worked as C developer on the in-house POS system for U.S. stores.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Contracted primarily to Alcatel Network Systems. Initially, worked in help desk support positions, Level 1 and 2. Migrated into a client-server application group that developed and supported an internal set of applications used to design, order and manufacture telecommunication equipment for outside clients. Application suite was a VB front-end with an Oracle backside.

Bryan/College Station, Texas Area

Support and development for existing transportation tools and databases for TxDOT and other TTI researchers. New development included a remote access system for TxDOT's regional offices to access the central system in Austin.

Bryan/College Station, Texas Area

As the sole computer teacher, taught Computer Literacy and Keyboard Skills through Advanced Computer Programming. Also taught general Math classes and managed two computer labs.
