Larry Kramer brought 27 years of finance, accounting & ops experience in joining Foundation Management Associates as a Managing Partner in 2012. He currently is an outsourced CFO to more than a dozen clients in the nonprofit, for-profit, venture and VC backed start ups industries.Prior, he was the $3Bil North Bridge Venture Partners & Growth Equity's Controller 2004-2012. Before that, Larry was VP-Finance & Controller for TWI Interactive, the $30Mil technology arm of the $1Bil sports and marketing giant IMG. He modeled and assisted in the buyout of the then majority external shareholders to allow TWIi to reintegrate with its parent IMG in NYC. Before TWIi, Larry spent three years as the Controller of NewsEdge Corp., a $70Mil public co. and leading provider of syndicated content solutions/services, which he assisted in its 2001 sale to and integration with Thomson down to Cary, NC. Before NewsEdge, Larry spent ten years at the $325Mil public mutual fund company The Pioneer Group in a variety of accounting and finance roles. He began his career with GE & GE Capital, completing GE’s Financial Management Program in upstate NY. Larry earned an MBA with honors from Boston University and a B.A. with honors from Rutgers University. Outside of work, Larry served 2006-2009 on Boston's Chapter Board of Financial Executives Int'l (FEI), a senior financial professionals' national organization, ran its Career Services/Career Planning Committee helping hundreds and remains an active committee member. Also outside of work, Larry is lead singer and fronts suburban Boston cover bands (his 3rd since 2008) whose 36+ charity fundraising events since 2009 have raised over $2.5Mil for The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation (CCFA), Pediatric IBD Foundation, Pediatric Cancer causes, a Walk for Hunger, and Medfield/Ashland/Groton/Dover/Norton town public school fundraisers. His bands also entertained 35 other gig audiences. Larry has worked with CCFA's 2010-2023 Boston Take Steps Walk Organizing Committee for $500K/2,000 person annual fundraising events, and bands played 2014-2022's Walks on the Boston Common and in Cambridge.
