Warehouse Lead / Lead Inventory Management Specialist
Lead Duties:-Takes the lead in assuming responsibility for the general operations of the YAO warehouse.-Formulates standard operating procedures for safe and efficient operations of the team. -Assigns work to and assists lower graded team members with the most complex and non-repetitive work.-Distributes and balances the workload among employees in accordance with established work flow or job specialization, assures timely accomplishment of the assigned workload, and obtains assistance from thesupervisor on problems that may arise such as backlogs which cannot be disposed of promptly.Resolves informal complaints of employees and refers others to supervisor.-As team leader assures personnel are trained in the identification and handling of hazardoussubstances and ensure safety precautions and procedures are followed.Inventory Management:-Maintains records of receipts manually or through the use of an automated scanning system.-Notifies the Property Book Officer of the receipt of non-expendable equipment to ensure establishment of property book accountability and affixing of barcode labels prior to any distribution. -Responsible for accountability and management of processing all warehouse property. -Coordinates directly with the Property Book Officer to pick up excess equipment from handreceipt holders and to ensure that all documentation for turn-in of Government property to thedesignated agencies is complete and accurate. -Monitors all GSA sales to ensure they are compliant with established regulations andprocedures.-Responsible for all financial management pertaining to procurement of supplies and equipment,and logistical functions for the warehouse. -Analyzes long-range supply and equipment programs and monitors the progress of all logistics plans, programs and functions. -Identifies the cause and impact of delays or other problems and takes aggressive action to prevent delays and/or solve problems.
