I am a CFO with extensive experience in the non-profit sector with Mayo Clinic Laboratories, PeaceHealth Laboratories and the University of Oregon Foundation and the for-profit sector with Pathology Consultants, Sony, Rockwell International, GE and Price Waterhouse. My passion is to improve financial rigor and operational excellence so that organizations have the resources to carry out their mission.My 4+ years with Pathology Consultants, as the CFO and then as the Chief Executive with CFO and COO duties, was extremely rewarding to help lead such a high-quality Pathology Group and laboratory. I was even able to hire and train my CFO and COO replacements.In my 13 years as CFO of PeaceHealth Laboratories I oversaw a sales growth rate of over 100% and EBITDA growth rate of 225%. I had extensive mergers and acquisition experience on the buy side in integrating laboratories in Oregon, Washington and Alaska and on the sales side with the sale of PeaceHealth Laboratories to Quest Diagnostics.Highlights of my 10 year career at Sony included being the second employee promoted to build and start-up a new manufacturing facility in Springfield, Oregon where I hired and directed the Finance, IT and Purchasing Departments with the operation growing to $80 million in annual sales within 4 years. After the successful launch and growth of the new facility I demonstrated operational and general management expertise by directing the Customer Service, Media Services, Warehouse Operations Departments and launching Digital Authoring Services, a new business venture in DVD authoring services.In my free time I enjoy hiking in the outdoor wonderland of Lane County and traveling with my wife Gabriele, a native of Austria (the other wonderland).
