Update information systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement new technology/applications to streamline and track work.

• Conduct IT Helpdesk operations for over 10,000 personnel, maintaining readiness of information’s systems, granting user access rights to applications, verify user completion of information security training, and installing applications on user computers ensuring critical mission readiness tasks can be completed for the Oregon Army National Guard.• Installed Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Exchange Server 2007, configured DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, and setup user accounts multiple times.• Configured Cisco Routers and Switches, utilized multiple VLAN’s, setup sub-interfaces, encapsulation protocols, generated crypto RSA keys, configured VTY lines to use SSH, setup local users, configured DHCP, NAT, and setup and configured ACL’s.• Developed a complete network which consisted of the installation of MS Exchange Server 2007 on Windows Server, configuration of a personal email system utilizing my own domain, configured and setup a workstation, router and switch then daisy chained my router to 2 neighboring routers through a serial connection, a total of 24 separate networks were connected and each had working email servers.• Successfully completed a 9-week course that consisted of training in Cisco IT Essentials, CCNA Routing and Switching Essentials, CCNA Routing and Switching Essentials : Introduction to Networks, and Introduction to Army Networks.

- Earned the rank of SGT (E-5)- 12 Month deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation New Dawn (OND).- Managed an Infantry team and squad consisting of 4 to 9 soldiers over 5 years, ensuring all mandatory training was conducted and all members of the team were trained to standard, resulting in a team that consistently rated in the top 5% of their peers.- Instructed several combat and safety oriented classes in accordance to US Army doctrine with 100+ soldiers in attendance to maintain preparedness, enhance safety, and exceed, yearly, mandatory training standards.- Managed mission critical resources, submitted operational status reports and resource requests, scheduled resource drop-off times and locations, maintained written and verbal communication with all levels of management, which resulted in the successful completion of critical project tasks for over 125 personnel during tactical and logistics operations spanning a 21-day period.- Operated a spectrum analyzer to test the Counter Radio Electronic Warfare (CREW) system to ensure proper functionality on 8 vehicles prior to all missions, which resulted in the discovery of malfunctioning devices and the ability to resolve issues prior to departing.
