Dr. Larry E Kocian, Jr. attended the University of Houston College of Optometry, earning the Doctor of Optometry degree in 2017. Dr. Kocian completed undergraduate studies at Baylor University where he obtained the Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in Forensic Science and a minor in Anthropology. During his time at the University of Houston, Dr. Kocian earned academic recognition as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and recognition of leadership and service as a member of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society.Dr. Kocian grew up in Waco, Texas and is proud to once again call Central Texas home. He lives in Harker Heights with his wife, Melissa, and their dog, GoGo. They are an active family and enjoy hiking, running, and reading.Dr. Kocian is licensed by the Texas Optometry Board as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, the highest level of optometry licensing in Texas. Today, Dr. Kocian performs comprehensive eye examinations, with special emphasis on eye health. Dr. Kocian diagnoses diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, cataracts and other ocular pathology. He also has a special interest in myopia control and contact lenses. Dr. Kocian is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Texas Optometric Association (TOA).
