In April 2019, under my legal entity of Supply Chain Pipeline LLC, the purchase of Southern Baking Corporation was finalized. Since 1995, Southern Baking has been servicing the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson market as well as National and Regional restaurant chains with exceptional quality products.

Leading the team in the production of food products in the ready-to-eat and fresh-baked categories throughout major retail, wholesale and food service industries. Ensuring that the Duke Foods portfolio of products and services within private label, co-packing and our own unique brands exceed our customers expectations. Duke Foods is a FDA and USDA regulated facility with SQF Level II certification. Responsibilities include the leadership and oversight of both the indirect and direct activities involved with food production. This includes purchasing, warehousing, production planning, human resources, quality assurance, logistics, sales, research & development, finance and manufacturing.

Leadership in Procurement, Warehousing, Production and Strategy.-Oversee all purchasing activities for direct and indirect materials needed for the production of finished goods.-Responsible for the daily inbound receiving and outbound delivery process.-Manage the production of food products throughout multiple shifts to ensure food safety, efficiency and best-in-class quality.-Lead Supply Chain efforts in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.

Oversaw and led 475 team members of finance, human resources, purchasing, warehouse & distribution, and sales & marketing. Redirected and aligned company organization and promoted teamwork. Increased sales and earnings, resulting in recognition as one of the top-overall performing Sysco operating companies.-Led a Sales department to achieve record sales.-Developed long-term, sustainable business partnerships with a large customer and supply/broker base through honesty, transparency, trust and collaboration.-Reduced transactional related expenses for year-over-year ROA growth.-Developed talent within the organization and created long-term succession planning.-Guided the implementation of a robust category management program for entire portfolio of products resulting in product cost savings.

Led the procurement team for Sysco’s ERP project. Worked with key stakeholders and subject matter experts from the field to provide input and validation to the end-to-end sustainable supply chain process within procurement. Scope of work included category management, strategic sourcing, contract management, quality management and the entire "procure to pay" process. This involved regular reviews with Sysco’s executive management team demonstrating the change in the supply chain procurement process and the corresponding business case. Implemented procurement department while launching the SAP technology platform within shared-service environment. Created job descriptions and on-boarded initial procurement team of 30 associates to carry out nation-wide supply chain procurement.-SAP technology-Enterprise Resource Planning

Led the start-up of a new Sysco distribution center in Columbia, South Carolina within procurement. High-level involvement with the strategic planning of the company’s objectives, resulting in YOY improved key metric performance.-Developed business partnerships with a supplier/broker community of over 600 companies.-Created a purchasing department from the ground up.-Consolidated three Sysco warehouse's servicing the South Carolina into one which involved the consolidation of over 21,000 items into a manageable item file capable of servicing the market.
