In my role as Director of Project/Portfolio Management at NTT DATA North America I provide leadership to a team of project and program managers who deliver both information technology and business integration projects. I have been responsible for budget management of portfolios delivering up to $60MM in projects annually. I build a team culture focused on continual process improvement.

• Function as the Chief Operating Officer of the PMI Dallas Chapter serving over 4000 members.• Direct the activities of ten board members and an organization of 160 volunteers to ensure they align with the Chapter’s Mission, Vision, Constitution, and Bylaws.• Preside over all regular, special, business, and Board of Directors meetings for the PMI Dallas Chapter.• Speak before groups up to 250 attendees at least 12 times a year.• Organized and held the first PMI Dallas Chapter Board of Directors strategic planning session in over four years.• Led a 3 party revenue sharing negotiation for the biggest event we co-sponsor each year increasing the Dallas Chapter’s percentage of the profit from 25% to 35%.

As VP of Membership of the PMI Dallas Chapter I had direct responsibility for all membership issues. During my tenur,e the Chapter’s membership increased 5% to over 4000 members. I lead a team of 7 volunteers who were responsible for bringing on all new volunteers for the Dallas Chapter. This team developed reports necessary for the organization, provided a member orientation meeting 6 times each year and organized the annual volunteer appreciation event to thank over 160 volunteers who supportded the PMI Dallas Chapter

In my role as a Sr Project Manager at Dell in Plano, I successfully managed a complex IT compliance security program, overseeing multiple projects and ensuring the protection of sensitive data. I led the implementation of identity and access management projects, enhancing security measures for over one hundred thousand users. Additionally, I spearheaded the segmentation of credit card processing workstations at numerous locations, strengthening network security protocols.

In my role as a Consultant at AustinCSI in Plano, Texas, I successfully managed projects to migrate servers to new storage arrays, resulting in significant cost savings for the company. By facilitating risk management sessions, I ensured project success and prevented negative impacts on scope, time, and cost.

• Managed a team of three Java developers, one Oracle reports developer, one data analyst and one QA analyst on shore as well as two Java developers, two Oracle report developers and two QA analysts in Bangalore, India.• Managed deliverable deadlines by performing resource leveling and redistributing work among developers as necessary.• Managed stakeholder expectations by identifying key stakeholders and their objectives and highlighting potential gaps and communicating them early with a plan for closing those gaps when possible.

• Managed a project to integrate HP’s Service Manager 7 into the current IT Asset Management Process through Project Management Processes: Initiation, Planning, Executing, and Monitoring and Controlling.• Managed an IT project to implement a new remote access service for over 80 countries. This included coordinating the efforts of 6 other project managers and technical leads in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. Performed scope control by identifying and performing risk analysis of requested changes and escalating these to key stakeholders.• Managed the schedule for a global IT program consolidating datacenters covering the efforts of two vendors and three regional project management offices.• Worked with the project management offices in Asia, Latin America, and Europe to align their schedules with the global schedule to ensure program progress was being tracked effectively and issues were identified early and corrective action taken quickly.• Developed and produced two weekly reports that measured the program schedule variance for datacenter consolidation.

• Project managed over 50 database conversion, web application development, company intranet, software upgrade, software customization, and business process projects through all Project Management Processes: Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing.• Project managed Customer Resource Management (CRM) software upgrade from SalesLogix server software version 6.8 to 7.0 updating over 600 desktop clients.• Led the development of a Hypertext preprocessor (PHP) based payment application through the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) handling over 60,000 transactions each month totaling over $12MM in client billing applying Project Management Institutes’ (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) project management techniques to ensure requirements were effectively gathered and the scope of the project met the business units’ needs.• Developed Scope Statement by performing Stakeholder analysis and managed a business process improvement project with a business analyst, workforce manager and 3 call center department managers to streamline attendance variance reporting for a 300 person call center.• Improved attendance accuracy over 25% by eliminating paper based records and implementing a web-based application collecting employee data on a single screen using requirements inputs from workforce management, department management and human resource (HR) stakeholders. • Project managed SalesLogix customer resource management software customization with 3 VB developers working from a modified software specification reducing customer data retrieval times by 50% per instance saving approximately 5-hours per week for over 300 customer service associates.• Worked with SQL developers PHP developers, and VB developers to decompose project requirements and create work breakdown structures with approximately 100 work activities.

• Managed the outsourced Tradeshow/Events program for a major computer manufacturer fulfilling approximately 30,000 desktops, laptops, servers, and monitors for over 150 shows annually.• Instituted color coded labeling process allowing tradeshow managers and staff to quickly identify where on the show floor product was to be placed thus decreasing set-up times by 25 percent.• Developed a custom pallet process that set maximum height limit for pallets so trucks could be double stacked reducing shipping costs by 10 percent.• Managed stakeholders from 4 different companies including Events Managers, Senior Managers in the Events Program, and other Vendors supporting this program as well as department managers within our own company.

Managed high profile and complex projects while working for this outsourcing company that provided document processing services for Ernst and Young. Handled a wide variety of projects from financial statements for Fortune 500 companies to proposals for multi-million dollar engagements and all banners and posters for the Entrepreneur of the Year Program.
