With more than 20 years of experience, I have counseled clients in all aspects of the litigation process. I have successfully argued and tried myriad cases in numerous courts in Washington and other jurisdictions.   -Represented Russian citizen and former owner of IP rights to the computer game Tetris in complex international case. Obtained judgment finding defendants committed fraud and breaches of fiduciary duty; declaring plaintiff to be sole owner of disputed company; removing defendants as officers and directors; ordering defendants to return tech licensing rights and $1 million in real estate; awarding $3.1 million to plaintiff and more than $900,000 in attorneys’ fees; and dismissing counterclaims of more than $5 million.-Counsel for manufacturing corporation in $10+ million case seeking reimbursement for environmental cleanup costs under insurance policies. Case favorably settled.-Counsel for small business owner against insurance company to establish defense and indemnity coverage for environmental cleanup costs and to recover damages for bad faith insurance practices. Case favorably settled.-Obtained order for corporate client granting preliminary injunction against former CEO and majority shareholder prohibiting representation of ownership rights in the company’s patented IP. Case settled favorably due to order.-Recovered foreign company’s entire $2 million investment in local tech startup.-Successfully defended corporation in multi-million-dollar claim alleging unlawful spamming and unauthorized access to Internet service provider’s servers.-Represented plaintiff involving claims of misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of software license claims. Obtained a favorable settlement, including recovery of attorney’s fees.-Represented polymer plastics manufacturing corporation in prosecution of two patent infringement cases with antitrust counterclaims. Obtained favorable stipulated judgments on the patents, and dismissal of both counterclaims.Member of plaintiff’s legal team in a large antitrust case (Caldera, Inc. v. Microsoft, Inc.). The case involved complex IP and software licensing issues, and resulted in a multi-hundred-million-dollar settlement.
