As a principal on Subaru's Cloud Enablement Team, I led the organization's digital transformation to the public cloud (AWS). I designed and implemented the AWS tenancy accounts and billing structure, adhering to AWS best practices to optimize cost management and resource utilization.I developed policies and guardrails that balanced developer velocity with robust security and governance controls, ensuring an efficient and secure development environment. In addition, I re-platformed legacy Java applications and spearheaded the creation of cloud-native solutions to drive innovation. I also implemented billing alerts and reporting systems to monitor usage and manage accounting chargebacks effectively.

As the Technical Architect for the Connected Vehicle development team, I played a key role in the design and delivery of our Generation 2 Connected Vehicle program. Acting as the primary technical liaison between parent companies and external vendors, I ensured seamless collaboration and integration across the ecosystem. By moving away from proprietary licensed solutions and simplifying workflows, I successfully increased ROI and improved overall system quality.I also designed and developed a robust billing system that connected customers, vendors, and internal business units, significantly enhancing efficiency.

Selected HighlightsTelematics Program, Consumer and Business ( 2012-2014 )Architect and Developer of implementing Subaru’s new Telematics service for the B2C and B2B business processes. Developed web site and mobile apps (Android and iOS) that executes remote services ( door lock/unlock, locate vehicle, etc. ) Worked closely with Product Planning, Marketing and our parent company during the process. On target for a successful release in 2015.Application Monitoring Application ( 2010 )Designed and managed offshore resources to build health and availability monitoring app for all (over 20) of the B2C and B2B web applications. Measures availability, load on the system, database connections, etc. and notifies developers when there are any irregularities.Labor Time Guide (LTG) ( 2011-2012 )Architect and Developer the new LTG which was an Ajax based site that allows users to determine how much they would be paid for certain repairs and if they were applicable. This allowed us to bring the functionality in-house and away from a 3rd party vendor thereby reducing the costs for dealers and to bring in additional revenue to Subaru of America.Application Server / Apache / Tomcat / OC4J Architect ( 2013 )Drove the effort to switch from Oracle’s legacy web and java application server (OC4J) to open source Apache and Tomcat. In the process saved significant money on hardware and licensing costs while reducing the time needed to create and install new application servers and java containers to almost zero. Configured high-availability fail over environment ( hot-spare ) for critical applications.
