-Responsible for the safety, security, and environmental health of marine environments subject to the Coast Guard jurisdiction within the greater New Orleans area-Enforce over 100 facility inspections annually to maintain compliance with Code of Federal Regulations-Conduct inspections to ensure compliance on over 400 intermodal containers annually in the Port of New Orleans-Supervised the damage assessment and led the recovery efforts of maritime facilities after Hurricane Ida to facilitate commerce in the local regions-Actively boost team efficiency by implementing processes to ensure the organizing, restocking and maintaining of technical equipment within budgetary constraints-Quickly learn new skills such as risk mitigation, planning, and budgeting to apply them to daily tasks, improving efficiency and productivity-Covered gaps in team’s operational schedules by working flexible hours (nights, weekends, holidays)-Mentor and onboard approximately 8-12 new Coast Guard team members annually
