In this capacity, I was responsible for the successful coordination and execution of project development tasks in an effort to develop a new 8mW Cloud Technology Data Center for a major USA university. In support of that effort performed the following:• Vetting and due diligence of the investment and analysis of the business plan and pro forma financial statements in order to assess project viability and profitability. • Generating a cost model for data center design, construction, oversight, and the projected impact on pricing and market demand to include comparisons for wholesale, colocation, and cloud specifications. • Developing a detailed understanding of the various types of data center offerings including all of variations of as-a-Service model. For example, Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, Tier 4 design levels, and redundancy, as well as Cap-ex, PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, etc.• Advising senior partners and decision makers on key data center operational requirements for day to day operations, overhead costs, security, maintenance, and risk. • Developing an understanding of the significance of localized prospecting of the CIOs of the local major enterprises, local major university, local city government, local school districts, and regional economic impacts.
