Was responsible for the oversight of all regular adult ministries including fifteen departmental groups, men’s and women’s ministries, leadership and training classes, local community involvement and volunteer activity throughout Decatur. Developed and managed multiple teams for special events involving scores of volunteers. Assisted in the development of new outreach programs. Provided advanced Biblical studies instruction for the Decatur Baptist Institute as well as regular pastoral counseling.

Grace and Truth SportsPark (a ministry of First Bible Baptist Church, www.graceandtruthsportspark.com) was designed to house the church athletic ministries and provide outreach opportunities for the community at large. Site planning development began in 1999, and the grand opening was celebrated in 2001.Highlights:Supervised all aspects of the site development to grand opening. Collaborated with city and town officials to obtain permits and comply with all state and local standards.Recruited and coordinated volunteer labor where possible and contracted all other work. Directed all fundraising efforts including grant proposals. Provided regular reports to the church as well as individual and commercial donors from the community.Park usage increased from 1 organization to 21 with over 90,000 visitors and 750 games or events. Organized and implemented the Spirit of America Independence Day Celebration (www.thespiritofamerica.org). Oversaw a dynamic leadership team which organized over 450 volunteers and served a crowd of almost 20,000 in its third year (2004).

Served in multiple capacities including Director of Northstar Bible Institute, Director of Public Relations, Director of Music, Worship & Local Outreach, and Project Manager for the development of 88-acre Grace and Truth SportsPark.Supervised public relations and image marketing including brochures, newspaper ads and reports, TV ads, web sites, and ministry publications. Assisted with administrative operations by overseeing the selection and implementation of internal networking and voice-mail to improve communications both internally and with the constituents of the church. Also assisted in establishing a new budgetary process.Provided college level instruction for Northstar Bible Institute and the Pastoral Discipleship Training School courses including Leadership training and Team Development, Time Management and Public Relations.

Was responsible for music ministry operations and groups including choir, orchestra, praise bands, junior choirs and special music for all regular services and special events. Established annual Christmas musical drama feature presentations. Prepared and presented Easter Cantatas featuring choir, orchestra, and other ensembles. Supervised the re-organization of the Music Department into Audio-Visual and Drama/Arts Departments, collectively comprised of over 400 regular volunteers. Established the process of Accountability groups and Leadership training. Developed a Leadership team of lay persons to direct all aspects and lead the corps of volunteers and help plan and direct all public services. Managed events resulting from activities of more than forty-five (45) different ministries. Helped promote key increases in:-- volunteer involvement in regular and seasonal events from 75 to over 400 annually-- attendance at community-wide Christmas Celebration from 400 to over 7000 and Easter Celebration from 0 to over 2000-- contributions of finances, goods and services from the community by 750% towards two of the major seasonal events

Multiple professional awards and citations including High Sales Awards (six consecutive years), Specialist Designations (five consecutive years), Agent of the Year (three consecutive years), and President’s Citation in 1992.

Start-up offering delivery of new furniture to residents throughout western New York. Managed all operations and propelled rapid growth up to seven trucks and fourteen employees in less than one year.

Responsibilities included counseling, couples classes, outreach and discipleship programs utilizing small groups and home Bible studies. Supervised volunteer activity and helped establish a church-wide management system based on management by objectives (MBO). Served as Director of Northstar Bible Institute from 1986 – 1988.

Directed growth from average of 17 to 150. Led in the relocation and financial stabilization of the church (Mt. Prospect, IL).
