EGG International B.V. develops, fabricates and distribute an innovative multisports helmet under its brand new name EGG. The helmet is fully customizable with so called Skins and Add-ons, and goes with some smart technical innovations including a flexible fit making the helmet more comfortable and safe, an air adjustment system for perfect fit without pressurepoints, and an integrated chinstrap locking mechanism that can be operated with one hand preventing the skin to get trapped in the buckle. EGG helmets will be sold in shops throughout Europe and in our webshop. During the development of the helmet, skins and Add-ons I was responsible for the industrial design of all parts and products, including it's packaging. All parts were engineered in 3D-CAD and were (rapid) prototyped for testing after which we finalized all the parts to the product it is now. Besides future developments, I'm now responsible for production of all parts and (sub) assemblies in the Netherlands and abroad (Asia), quality control and purchase.

During this period I gained a lot of experience working for both small and medium sized companies like Van der Veer Designers, Bravilor Bonamat B.V., i-Optics, Spark Design and Innovation, Thyssen Krupp Accesability, GMG, Quinny. Assignments varied from pure industrial design studies to hardcore technical engineering, but all had a focus on mass production. I learnt a great deal about finding the right balance between the different forcefields of design, functionality, costs and productiontechniques.
