As a fashion designer for the ladies department, specialising in knitwear, I was performing the full range of fashion design duties including but not limited to, creating and developing collections in collaboration with the product management.Roles and responsibilities:- Trend research- Colour and material research- Correspondence/liaising with suppliers and manufacturers- Develop strong relationship with supply chain and factories worldwide.- Responsible for creating, supervising and revising sample sheets/ product sheets- Responsible for production control- Regular store checks at our stores and customer surveys- Technical drawings (Illustrator, Photoshop)- Preparing and running internal and external meetings- Induction and supervising of junior designers and interns- Preparing and running fittings with technicians- Fabric, colour and sample approval- Associated administration and documentation- Visiting international trade fairs- Competition and concept checks
