Msc thesis topic: Coastal tourism at coldwater destinations. Description: Today the Dutch coast relies too much on the 'good weather' product while experiencing much competition from warmer coastal destinations overseas. This is a competition the Dutch coast cannot win. The Dutch coast has to rethink its coastal product to continue to attracts tourists. In my thesis I offer a new way of thinking about coastal tourism which involves place identity, narratives and branding on a regional scale.
