My research interest is quantum information, particularly quantum communication, key distribution, and error correction. Currently, my work on quantum error correction is conducted in the contextof continuous variables with Gaussian states. Furthermore, my interest in quantum communication concerns the rate analysis of repeaters. Recently, I started my PhD in quantum key distribution, where my research will build on my previous knowledge of continuous variables.Beyond that, I am interested in real-world applications of quantum technologies, which inspired my change to quantum key distribution as it is on the verge of being readily available. My favourite pastimes include various sports, of which I enjoy triathlon the most. I am part of a triathlon club and perform weekly training sessions with it.

Analysis of Finite-Size effects of Quantum Key Distribution protocolsSupervisor: Norbert Lütkenhaus
Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
After I had finished my bachelor thesis in Physics, I started working in Prof. van Loock’s research group. My task was to evaluate how to include additional error sources into the rate analysis of Quantum repeaters. Those errors could not be included previously, because it was generally unknown how they influence the rate. With my work, I generalised previous error calculations. The result of my research conducted was a publication in a scientific journal as the leading author.
Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
My tasks in tutoring for the physics lecture "Mathematical Calculation methods" consisted of correcting and grading the students' exercise sheets, which were handed in on a weekly basis and holding weekly, digital exercise classes. In the exercise classes, I answered the students' questions, presented solutions for the exercise sheets, and prepared them for the exam. The exam was proctored and corrected by the lecturer, other TAs and me.
Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
My tasks in tutoring for the "Mathematical Preparatory Course" for students starting their studies in Biology and Geology, consisted of giving daily tutorials in which I answered the students' questions while they prepared their answers to the exercise sheets of the day. Furthermore, my duties were correcting both the preliminary and final examinations at the beginning and the end of the course.
