In my role as Chief Project Manager I lead infrastructure and environmental projects. I promote sustainable solutions and I effectively aim for optimal results. My technical expertise and good collaboration skills ensure successful projects.Specialties: My speciality is international infrastructure project/ programme management in the areas of: natural gas, biogas, water and sanitation, roads and transport, and environmental engineering including adaptation to climate change.

The department employs 35 people and manages the infrastructure projects in HMN Naturgas I/S such as:• new pipes for distribution of gas• gas pressure and metering stations• compressed natural gas filling stations for gas to vehicles• connection of biogas into the countrywide natural gas grid• production of liquefied natural gas for vessels.

The department employs 50 people and manage the maintenance and new construction of the physical infrastructure for natural gas in the North Zealand area.

Main responsibilities:- Manage Danida’s activities in Ghana within the areas of local governance and decentralisation, infrastructure development, environment and climate change with an annual budget of $ 27m.- Head Danida’s Local Service Delivery and Governance Programme in Ghana comprised of: institutional support to government agencies in charge of decentralisation; investment in improved service delivery through the District Development Facility; and support to Ghana Audit Service.- Represent Danida in high-level policy dialogue with partners on local governance, decentralisation, improved service delivery, environment and climate change.- Sector Lead for the Decentralisation Sector Working Group responsible for harmonising and aligning development partners’ support to decentralisation and local governments. - Negotiate terms for development assistance with the Government of Ghana on behalf of development partners.- Carry out internal quality assurance of the outputs from the Embassy’s Service Delivery Team, which include health, infrastructure, environment and climate change. - System Administrator of the IT system at the Royal Danish Embassy in Accra.- Manage the coordination of high level visits from senior Danish politicians and dignitaries and prepare talking points/ presentations for use by senior civil servants and politicians in Denmark.

- My appointment in Ghana was confirmed in July 2006 for a January 2007 start date. During this six-month period I, together with my wife, purchased and renovated a property in London. - In addition I was member of a three week review mission that assessed Danida's Water and Sanitation Sector Programme in Ghana.

Main responsibilities:- Manage Danida’s activities in Bangladesh within the area of rural roads, major roads, river transport and rural development. With an annual budget of $35m. This is to date the largest programme within Danida. - Head the implementation of Danida’s Transport Sector Programme in Bangladesh comprising of: construction of major roads, rehabilitation of rural feeder roads, construction of ferries and ferry landings as well as important bridges.- Represent Danida on high level policy dialogue regarding transportation and rural development in the Transport Sector Working Group. - Organise field trips and presentations for Danish politicians and dignitaries.

Main responsibilities:- Overall management of four different departments; City Roads, City Squares, Signposting and Fencing and Winter Maintenance comprising 120 staff.- Management annual budgeting and financial planning for the equivalent of $21m.- Maintenance of high quality outputs of all four departments through applying consistent quality assurance measures.- Environmental and working environmental management.- Contribute to corporate strategic planning and responsible for strategic planning and implementation for all four departments and the organisation.- Capacity building within the departments to deliver against new strategy.

Responsible for major Copenhagen City infrastructure projects from the tender phase to the completion. Main tasks included the hands on: design of proposals, project planning, project management, budget control, procurement and maintaining strong links with customers.

During my initial year of National Service in the Danish Army I was promoted to the role of Sergeant. In this role I was responsible for the education, training and welfare of 12 soldiers in the rank of Private. My main duties were to teach and train Privates in the theory and practice of war tactics, orienteering, athletics and first aid. Additionally, this role required me to participate in the Danish military preparedness in case of war.
