Currently in the third year of my MSc. of Mechanical Engineering at ETH Zürich, with focus on Fluid Dynamics, Process Engineering and Nuclear Systems.At the ARIS Project LEA 2021/2022, which built a trailer with the infrastructure to test ARIS' first bi-liquid rocket engine, I was part of the DACS team and responsible for the implementation of more than 60 sensors, as well as the mathematical modelling of the liquid rocket engine and its attached components. I appreciated the opportunity of working in a fantastic environment with many other passionate and motivated students, and the unique challenges that came with working on the interface between the DACS and structure teams of our project.As system engineer of the 3rd generation liquid rocket engine ARIS project HELIOS, I am able to make use of my technical experience and understanding of the complex test stand setup to help plan the approach, tasks and testing timeline to achieve our goals of optimising the engine performance and enabling throttling of thrust using a closed-loop controller.
