About Lars-Peter Søbye

My professional goal has always been to grow and run a sustainable business.With a career of more than 35 years in an international consulting engineering group – 14 of them as CEO – I have been deeply involved in the green transition from the very early days. From overseeing specific projects to running a global organisation, I have developed a good eye for practically all aspects of business management. Knowledge that proved useful during my five years as Chairman of the Confederation of Danish Industry. As a business leader, I am used to navigating a world filled with uncertainty, whether during a pandemic or a financial crisis, while maintaining focus on growth and robust business development. With experience from several board memberships and chairmanships, I’ve also refined my skills when it comes to diving into different kind of businesses, and not least give priority to talent development.
