During my employment as Emissions product manager at FLSmidth my key responsibility was technical ownership of emission reduction equipment within the cement production process. This included equipment for reduction of NOx (primarily by SNCR), SO2 and Hg.I had the pleasure of working as project manager for product optimization projects. One of these projects involved NOx reduction by means of process optimization. This included correlation between historical process and emissions data, pilot plant trials and process optimization trials on cement plants. As a process engineer at FLSmidth my main responsibilities have been to create mass and heat balances and together with laboratory analysis of raw materials and fuels to select the appropriate equipment to be installed.
