It may work for a while, but sooner or later, your engine will give out.The most troublesome consequences of living in constant survival mode that I have experienced are:Overthinking: Your mind is constantly busy analyzing where the next threat will come from and how to neutralize it. Taking a break is nearly impossible.Fatigue: Because you are constantly "on," there is literally no time to recharge. Result: chronic fatigue.Restlessness: Constantly wanting to control everything creates restlessness, especially when there are factors beyond your control. The unease you feel is as if things could go wrong at any moment, and you can't concentrate on anything else.Inner emptiness: After a period of chronic stress, the body begins to shut down. You lose the connection to your purpose on earth, feeling alienated, lonely, and eventually exhausted and depressed.At the moment of experience, these may seem like separate problems impossible to solve.But there lies the misconception: believing in problems.The belief that there is a problem and that we must solve it, or else it will go wrong.When we stop viewing something as a problem, there is no problem anymore, and it resolves itself.
