Released into the Life Science industry about 37 years ago after completing a bachelor's degree in Chemistry - didn't really see that coming and I can't still understand I made it. Anyway I ended up in a cold room and did my share of freezing my .... off collecting protein fractions. Got bored and needed to thaw, so I went over to the dark side - sales and marketing. Spent 10 very interesting and educative years in 3 different company's marketing and sales of equipment to pharma/biopharma industry - learned a lot and best of all - built up a network still giving me benefits, which I hope I have shown gratitude for.Best lesson learned was that there was a huge lack of GMP compliance training in the mid 90's and when Sweden joined EU it got obvious. Together with my partner, now my wife, we started the business of compliance training with several US/EU business partners and built a well recognised and well reputated training and consultancy business - still running and successful. The rest is history and can be read more about under my current employer where we are still Part-Owners - Key2Compliance®.What has been driving me all these years and inspired me is the interface between need and solution, mostly where people meet. If you dig real deep there will always be an opportunity for a win-win situation where two parties find each other and stay faithful for years. For us solutions often meant that we had to create/invent new training courses, new training partners, new training concepts, or sometimes even new business models - all together with our clients.If there is something to leave behind, the most valuable would be the network we have built up within Life Science. No matter who you meet or where you meet - there is always someone who knows someone you know, and there is always something you can do to help someone.
