I was working as local Field Systems Engineer for Thomson Reuters (TR), Copenhagen based, with manager in Stockholm. I was responsible for handling all parts of Danish client technical orders in Service Management systems and procurement systems for hardware /license ordering, hardware preparation, software installation/configuration on client sites and creating/updating technical site documentation.Many of my tasks are project driven across all regional clients, with tight deadlines, including mandatory software upgrade projects, hardware upgrade projects, product migration projects - with legacy product decommission deadlines etc. - many of which is used by clients 24/5.Daily work requires involvement with clients’ IT organizations, helping / discussing and coordinating the integration and deployment of our financial products; in practice, this also makes me a local 2nd line product support for client IT /end users. With no local IT presence in Danish office, I was also regularly helping out as unofficial internal IT support for 40-50 colleagues on Lenovo / DELL laptops with windows XP / 7 / Office 2007 when needed.Products/IT installed and configured regularly: TR Dealing / Matching, TR Deal Tracker Suite, TR Data feeds + underlying server /network infrastructure in a combination of, and including, HP servers, Bluecoat proxies/ Cisco switches /routers, Check Point Firewalls, MPLS circuits. Microsoft Server 2003 /2008 and some extend UNIX server (Solaris) environments on client hardware.Other internal systems handled daily includes: HP Service Manager (for ITIL based tech order flow) Siebel CRM, MS Office, Visio, MS SharePoint collaboration sites, Team Viewer / WebEx, Cisco VPN, various remote support solutions and Messenger systems, time reporting systems like Clarity, VMware, Knowledge sites, e-learning, product notifications and updates, Incident alert systems etc.
