I've always enjoyed working with my hands, designing and building projects ranging from my own casting furnace to a water-cooled data projector for home use.As a quick learner with with an ever-present enthusiasm for learning new things, I am looking to expand my education beyond simply my university career. I try to always have a project on the go (Currently the second version of an electronic MIDI wind instrument and using my 3D printer for the occasional piece of mechanical design) and always welcome opportunities to visit companies to see their products and processes to widen my knowledge.

Work has largely involved FPGA firmware development but has also included the creation of python code, PCB design work and analogue PCB component-level SPICE simulation. Characterisation-related lab work is currently being undertaken.Later in the project, PCBs were redesigned to improve power supply and signal integrity, improving high frequency performance of the system. -
