MEDIA WORK:I have been working in the Deutsche Welle newsroom in Berlin sine 2015, producing and reporting for the English language business program. Work includes news gathering, writing and editing of reports, planning and producing run-downs and entire shows.I am regularly sitting in as expert guest on business programs and talk shows including DW programs 'Quadriga' and 'To The Point'.Previously and until my relocation from New York to Germany in 2015, I had been covering Wall Street in print, online media, radio, and on TV as a correspondent for Germany's leading financial news program, 'Telebörse' on n-tv, and Germany´s leading global broadcaster, Deutsche Welle. All reports are done live from the Trading Floor of the New York Stock Exchange and are the result of independent research comprising first-hand information from Specialists, Traders and Analysts as well as the steady news stream in US media.I was writing my weekly 'Inside Wall Street' column for the n-tv web site as well as www.teleboerse.de, while also being the New York Correspondent for the Berlin based Tagesspiegel and Berliner Rundfunk. I am also the US Correspondent for 'Business & Diplomacy', a leading German magazine covering these aspects of global interactions.GERMAN-AMERICAN WORK:I have been a leader in the German-American community for over a decade and have been General Chairman of the German-American Steuben Parade from 2006 until 2013. The Steuben Parade is the largest German-American event of its kind with an audience of up to 100,000 spectators on Fifth Avenue. Highlights of my tenure were the broadcasts of three parades on Public Television, of which I was the Executive Producer, as well as significant improvements in the parade´s finances, the successful acquisition of sponsors and donors, improved relations to the German and American government, better and more contemporary look of the parade, streamlined operations at the Oktoberfest in Central Park, and the establishment of "German-American Friendship Month", which has been proclaimed for the city of New York by Mayor Michael Bloomberg since 2008.
