Co-FounderCooleremail 1999 - PresentI got the idea for building an easy-to-use email marketing system back in 2000 as a different application of a very early webpage builder. At the time, I was living in a little apartment and working out of my second bedroom, living on macaroni and cheese and top ramen noodles. We started by giving it away to a few friends and it grew organically from there.CoolerEmail grew slowly into a global presence, amassing up to 1,500 clients. As we worked with more clients, we learned a few key lessons:- Email marketing data is often trapped within the email marketing software- Sales people need to know when their leads and clients read and click messages- What people do with your emails can tell you a lot about them- Watching long-term trends of what people who with your emails can teach you a lotThese lessons, combined with what we learned from Teamr, were the inspiration behind GreenRope. As we learned how important it is to get marketing data into the hands of sales and customer service teams, we built the vision of our integrated platform.
