Head of E3002-4 Railway Bridges Ringsted-Femern. 56 bridges whereof 31 new or extensions, the rest to be renovated. Design and build contract. Silicor Purification Plant, Iceland. Heading the construction team on this large factory (approx. 120.000 m2, contract value 200 mio. €). Scheduled to break ground early 2017. Unfortunately the client failed to finance the project and it was cancelled during the design phase.

Special achievements: I managed to turn a serious situation with a very discontent client and huge problems in the production into a succes where we eliminated 7 months delay in just 13 months while at the same time raising costumer satisfaction from 0% to 89%.Currently managing tender of large rail bridge project in Denmark.

Project development and project management of industrial and commercial buildings. Notable projects: Generator factory in Tianjin, China. Vestas HQ, Aarhus, Denmark, 80 mio. €:With reference to a steering committee and the board of directors I managed the project of developing and constructing of the new global headquarters for Vestas (21.000 m2). The building sets new standards in sustainability and low energy technology for office buildings in Denmark. Responsibilities:• Assessment of land• Project proposals and investment requests.• Negotiations with local authorities• Municipal District Plan revision• Design (external consultants & architects)• Tendering• Contract negotiations & management (consultants and contractors)• Reporting and presentations for executive management and board of directors.• Budget and project economy.• Special achievements: I have driven this project from the very first ideas to the construction phase. Through detailed analysis of the needs of the organisation and the top management we created a unique workspace with maximum flexibility. The building is one of the most sustainable buildings in Denmark reaching LEED Platinum status. Vestas Technology R&D Center, phase 2, Aarhus, Denmark, approx. €30 mio.With reference to a steering committee and the President of Vestas Technology R&D I managed the development of the extension of the world’s largest R&D Center for wind turbine technology. Responsibilities similar to the above-mentioned project.• Special achievements: The project was handed over to the President of Vestas Technology R&D on time and with a saving of approx. 20% compared to budget.Short assignments on factory construction projects in Spain and Italy.

Jamaica

North Coast Highway Improvement Project, Segment 3, Jamaica. Client: Government of Jamaica. EU funded development project. €75 mio. The project consists of rehabilitation of 97km highway and construction of 450 culverts and 8 new bridges, rehabilitation of more than 20 bridges & relocation of 45km waterlines. Quarrying, concrete works, earthworks, piling and road works.For further project details go to: http://www.nwa.gov.jm/content/projectread.aspx?projectId=96Responsibilities:• Overall responsible for the entire production.• Contractual as well as technical liaison with Client, Resident Engineer and main subcontractors.• Negotiations and running contact with local authorities and unions.• Local recruitment of engineers and supervisors.• Building up and managing the entire project production organization. 65 staff (engineers, surveyors, technicians and supervisors) and 700 labours, hereof 40 expat staff.• Overall planning and resource allocation.• Labour management. • Security and safety management.• Special achievements: Managed to organize a very big project organisation under very difficult conditions where delays mainly due to contract issues put extra pressure upon the team. Jamaica is in many ways a difficult country to manoeuvre in, but I managed to become well respected both internally and with client, local authorities and unions, with whom I built up an excellent relationship that spared the project from much trouble.
